Play 100 gig games on 10 gigs of space in minutes instead of hours.
Via virtualizes your Steam library, downloading only what you need when you need it. The game runs completely locally on your hardware, so there is no added input latency or degraded image quality due to video compression like you'd see on traditional cloud gaming services.
Performance will vary by game and may depend on your ping to the server. Something like 90% of games run well at 10 ms, and 20% run well at 100 ms. Check out the tested games page for more information.

1. Download Via
Via currently only works on Windows, but Steam Deck support is planned.
Download for Windows
2. Allocate some storage
Over time, Via will replace content you haven't played in a while with whatever you've been playing recently. We recommend 10-100 gigs if you plan on playing large games.
  1. Click "Manage" on Via
  2. Pick a drive where you want to allocate some space
  3. Enter the size in gigs into the "Alloc" box
  4. Click "Apply"
  5. Hit "Back" in the bottom left to return to the home screen
3. Login to your Steam account
To virtualize your library, Via needs access to your account. Your credentials are passed directly to Steam servers, just like the official client. This is required as long as there is no integration with Steam itself (email me Valve).
4. Add Via to Steam
If your games aren't showing as playable in Steam, you may have to manually add the Via Drive to Steam.
  1. Click "Steam" menu on the top left of the Steam window
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Go to the "Storage" tab on the left
  4. Click the drive dropdown under "Storage"
  5. Click "Add Drive"
  6. Click the drive dropdown under "Add a new Steam library folder"
  7. Select "Local Drive (V:)"
  8. Hit "Add"
5. Press play in Steam
At this point, all of your games should appear as playable in Steam.
